About the Vale Nursery

Our nursery officially became part of The Vale Academy in 2019. Awarded 'outstanding' by Ofsted in 2016, we have grown from strength to strength, providing an excellent learning journey for children from the ages of 2 up to 11 years of age.

Arrival

Children are welcomed into the nursery by our team of friendly and familiar nursery practitioners. With a designated entrance, you and your child will arrive through a secure and monitored entrance.

Mornings

Your child will join others in our main nursery area which is a place full of stimulating activities and comforting play areas. The main nursery area is sectioned off to include smaller play areas, craft and music areas. Through a carefully planned curriculum, chidlren will take part in exciting and challenging learning experiences, supporting their development.

Lunch

Your child will be able to have the option of bringing in their own packed lunch or enjoy a freshly-prepared and balanced meal from our own Vale kitchen. For £1.50, we offer a varied and healthy menu, encouraging children to explore and discover different tastes and textures. Lunch is an excellent opportunity for children to enjoy the experience of sharing a sociable meal with others.

Outdoor Play

We are lucky to offer our children a wonderful variety of outdoor play options. From Forest School to our large playing fields, our outdoor spaces offer children to explore and develop their gross motor skills whilst benefiting from a healthy dose of fresh air.

Indoor Play

We've designed our nursery to ensure that our indoor areas are full of excitement and wonder. With plenty of engaging toys designed to encourage curiosity and imagination, children will have plenty of opportunity to play and learn.

Home Time

At the end of each day, our nursery team will tell you all about your child's exciting day. From what they have eaten to what activites they have taken part in, it is important to us that you feel part of their day and hear about their amazing achievements and developmental milestones.

Forest School is a child-centred, inspirational learning process, offering opportunities that support play, exploration and assisted risk-taking.

Children at our Forest School benefit from this additional resource, helping them develop confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
