Welcome to The Vale Academy

🏅 What a Month of Sport at The Vale Academy! ☀️ The hot weather may have caused some competitions to be postponed, but it certainly hasn't slowed Team TVA down! It has been another action-packed month filled with fantastic sporting opportunities and outstanding achievements. 🌟 Our Year 2 athletes kicked things off by taking part in their Athletics Festival, showing some great talent for the future and teamwork as they experienced a variety of track and field events. 🏏 Our school cricket teams proudly represented us at the County Cricket Finals held at Kempston Hammers Cricket Club. Competing against some of the strongest schools in the county, we couldn't be prouder of every player and their performances. 🥇 To top it all off, both our Year 3 & 4 and Year 5 & 6 QuadKids Athletics teams delivered exceptional performances at the local competition hosted by The Vale. Both teams secured 1st place, earning themselves a well-deserved place in the County Finals! A huge congratulations to every student who has represented The Vale Academy this month. You continue to make our school incredibly proud, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the sporting season has in store!

4JC enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the shade, taking part in wellbeing activities and cooling off with ice lollies.

5LC had a fabulous time learning and rehearsing their Morris Dance to an English folk song! When they finished perfecting their dance, they perform to their peers!

We loved celebrating Father's Day with our pupils and their dads, grandads and special guests! The morning was filled with tea and coffee, bacon rolls and lots of fun! Thank you to all those who joined us and made it such a memorable event!

☀️ Hot Weather Update ☀️ With the temperatures set to be very high over the coming days, we are putting as many safety measures in place as possible to help keep everyone cool and comfortable. We have: ✅ Put up gazebos to provide additional shade for pupils ✅ Moved tables into shaded areas ✅ Opened up Forest School for extra shade and outdoor space ✅ Set up water stations around the school ✅ Hired industrial fans for our communal areas to help keep temperatures down To support these measures, please ensure your child comes to school with: 🧢 A sun hat 💧 A filled water bottle ☀️ Sun cream applied before school (and packed if appropriate) Thank you for your support as we work together to keep everyone safe during the hot weather

What a fantastic day Meerkats class had at Whipsnade Zoo! ☀️🐻🐧🦁 As well as seeing some amazing animals, the children enjoyed educational talks and fun interactive games, discovering fascinating facts about the bears, penguins, rhinos and lions. 5LC had a great time with learning about Place Value Charts! The children absolutely loved creating their place value charts and were so engaged throughout the activity. They enjoyed it so much that they immediately asked when they could do it again!

Along with Owls Class, Foxes Class also enjoyed a wondeful day at Whipsnade Zoo on Friday! Thank you to all the brilliant staff who made the day such a fun one out!
