Welcome to The Vale Academy

As the summer term comes to a close, our Year 1 Forest School group has had an incredible journey! 🌿☀️ The children have worked so hard, developing their confidence, resilience and teamwork while exploring the outdoors. They have learnt all about fire safety, how to manage risks within our Forest School site, and how to stay safe while enjoying nature. To celebrate their fantastic efforts, the children chose a special end of term treat - making delicious s'mores over the fire! It was the perfect way to round off a wonderful term together, sharing smiles, laughter and well-earned treats. We are so proud of everything they have achieved and the enthusiasm they have shown at every session. Well done Year 1, we can't wait to see what adventures await next!

As part of our Spanish topic “En la cafetería”, Year 4 pupils took part in a role-play café where they practised ordering food and drinks in Spanish. Using their knowledge of Spanish vocabulary and transactional language, the children confidently took on the roles of customers and café staff, asking for and ordering a range of items. It was a fantastic way to bring their learning to life and develop their speaking skills in a fun, real-world context.

Year 1 had an amazing time at Mead Open Farm yesterday!

What a fantastic time we've had at Forest School After School Club Our Forest School group has enjoyed a range of exciting outdoor activities this term. From learning about camouflage and playing hide-and-seek using secret owl calls, to creating beautiful Hapa Zome nature prints using leaves, flowers, fabric and mallets, every session has been full of fun and learning. To celebrate our final club of the academic year, we enjoyed fresh fruit and even melted chocolate using candles and the warmth of the sun for a tasty treat! Well done to everyone for their enthusiasm and teamwork. We can't wait for more Forest School adventures next year! Branch Out Forest School

What an unforgettable day for Elephants Class! 🐘 To celebrate the end of their Year 1 journey, our pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Mead Open Farm, where they spent the day meeting friendly animals, exploring the farm and making amazing memories with their classmates. 🌾🐑 We hope everyone had a brilliant day!

🏆 Three Years of Platinum Success! 🏆 We are incredibly proud to announce that we have once again been awarded the Platinum School Games Award – making this our third consecutive year of achieving the highest national recognition for school sport and physical activity. This prestigious award reflects our commitment to providing outstanding sporting opportunities, promoting active and healthy lifestyles, and encouraging every child to participate, compete and thrive. It also celebrates the incredible sporting achievements, enthusiasm and dedication shown by our pupils throughout the year. This success would not have been possible without our fantastic pupils, the continued support of our parents and carers, and the commitment of our dedicated PE Team. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and look forward to building on this success in the years ahead. Here's to continuing our Platinum journey!

Year 3 had a fantastic time at Gulliver’s Land as they celebrated the end of a brilliant year together. Although the weather was a little warm, it didn’t stop everyone from having an amazing day enjoying the rides, having fun with their friends and making lasting memories. It was the perfect way to round off a year full of hard work, laughter and success. Well done Year 3!
