Welcome to The Vale Academy

🌧️☀️ Our final morning at Condover! ☀️🌧️ The rain may have come down overnight and this morning it is drizzling, but our smiles are still wide and the sun is almost shining through! Another breakfast has been enjoyed and, believe it or not, parents… the children can even strip their own bed sheets ready for the cleaners! We’ll leave it up to you whether that new skill continues at home! There’s still plenty of adventure to squeeze in before we leave, with abseiling, buggy building, aerial trek and trapeze on the programme this morning! Then it’s time to head home, full of stories and ready to tell you all about the amazing time they’ve had at Condover! What a fantastic trip it has been!

🌍💨💦 LAND, AIR & WATER – WHAT A DAY AT CONDOVER! 💦💨🌍 Our Year 5 & 6 children had another action-packed day at Condover yesterday, tackling challenges on land, in the air and on the water! 🏎️ LAND – Teamwork and tactics were put to the test as they designed and built the best buggies they could, before jumping aboard and enjoying the ride with their friends! 🧗 AIR – They’ve been pushing themselves to their limits with climbing and abseiling. It’s been fantastic to see them encouraging one another, facing their fears and celebrating each other’s achievements! 🛶 WATER – And, of course, there’s been plenty of splashing around! The kayaks have provided lots of fun, laughter and a few very wet children! They’ve also had the all-important visit to the Condover shop, where they’ve been busy spending their money and choosing souvenirs to bring home. Now it’s time to get ready for another amazing dinner 🍽️ to refuel after such a busy day… before heading out for tonight’s evening activities! 🌙✨ Another brilliant day packed with adventure, teamwork and friendship! Final day loading!

🌟 Condover, Day 2! 🌟 After some sleep last night… we’re up and ready to go again! Breakfast has been eaten and the children are fuelled up for another action-packed day. Today’s activities include kayaking, abseiling, swimming and trapeze! 🛶🧗‍♀️🏊‍♂️🎪 Lots of excitement, challenges and adventures ahead!

And the adventure continues! The children enjoyed a run-around quiz this evening... hopefully burning off some of that energy before their first night of sleep! 🌟

Day 1 for our Year 5 and 6 children at their residential, and what a day it has been! From tackling heights and taking on new challenges to working together as a team, there have already been plenty of opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and, of course, share lots of laughs! 🙌

🦖 A ROAR-some visit to The Vale! 🦕 What an exciting afternoon we had when Giant Journeys brought their incredible dinosaur experience to The Vale! Our children enjoyed a fun and interactive dinosaur assembly, discovered some amazing fossils and then got to meet Trixie, Reggie’s baby T-Rex sister… before the very exciting reveal of Reggie himself! There were certainly plenty of amazed faces, big smiles and lots of dinosaur excitement across the afternoon! A huge thank you to Giant Journeys for such a memorable experience!

⚽🏆 EFL CUP CHAMPIONS! 🏆⚽ What a performance from The Vale Academy Boys Football Team this week! The boys competed in the EFL Cup and played some phenomenal football, showing fantastic teamwork throughout the tournament. 👏 One of our teams went undefeated, conceding just ONE goal across the entire tournament before being crowned EFL Cup Winners! 🏆🥇

🌻 Our Sun Garden is ready! 🌻 We’re delighted to share our beautiful new Sun Garden with our school community! Made possible through the incredible fundraising efforts of our families and wider community, this wonderful outdoor space provides our children with a place to explore, discover and connect with nature. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising - your generosity has helped make this special space possible. A massive thank you to Rosie Barbary and her amazing team for all the hard work they put in throughout the summer holidays to transform the space and have it ready for our children returning this September. We can’t wait to see the children enjoying and exploring in the Sun Garden throughout the year. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead at The Vale! 🌻
