Owl class had a fantastic day at Whipsnade Zoo on Friday! They saw rhinos, baby elephants and so many more cute animals! They were lucky enough to arrive in time to see the otters have their lunch and enjoyed exploring the butterfly house! We’re so proud of our pupils for their excellent behaviour and for being wonderful ambassadors for The Vale Academy!

🐵🦁 Year 2 Monkeys Class had a fantastic day at Whipsnade Zoo! We saw so many amazing animals, including bears, tigers, elephants and, of course, some real chimpanzees! 🐻🐯🐘🐵 The children were a credit to the school throughout the day, showing excellent behaviour and making us all incredibly proud. It was a fun-filled trip enjoyed by everyone and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the animal world. Well done, Monkeys Class – what a brilliant day! 🌟🦒🦓

Forest School Bros have been busy at after-school club learning essential survival skills. Using just 4 ropes, 1 tarp, and plenty of teamwork, they successfully built their own lean-to shelters. Their challenge was to build a strong shelter, work together as a team, and make sure everyone could fit underneath. They finished just in time before the rain arrived! 🌧️ A fantastic session full of problem-solving, communication, resilience, and outdoor adventure. 🏏 County Finals, Here We Come! 🏆 A huge congratulations to our incredible Year 5 & 6 Girls Cricket Team who were crowned competition champions after an outstanding performance at their recent cricket tournament! The girls displayed fantastic bowling, batting and fielding skill throughout the day, winning their matches and representing the school with pride.
